Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal has assured the residents of the national capital that even if the Central Government does not provide free corona vaccines, he will ensure that the people of Delhi get free corona vaccination.

Kejriwal has recalled that he had appealed to the central government that Covid vaccination should be provided free of cost to all.
This assurance was made by the Delhi Chief Minister when he went to visit the family of Dr Hitesh Gupta, who had died of Covid in line of duty. As per the Kejriwal government's policy of paying Rupees one crore to any Covid martyr's family, the sum was paid by Mr Kejriwal to Dr Gupta's family too. Mr Kejriwal later tweeted that in future too, his government will take care of the family of Dr Gupta, whom he called a "warrior".
Mr Kejriwal also said that Dr Gupta's wife was educated and would be recruited by the government.
