With a decline in Covid cases, deaths, positivity rate and active cases, Delhi has shown improvement on the depressing Covid front, as per data on May 8.

As per the Delhi State Health Bulletin on May 8, 2021, a total of 17364 cases from 74384 tests were recorded in the past 24 hours. The positivity rate has thus fallen to 23.34%. A total of 20160 patients recovered from the disease in the last 24 hours.

332 corona deaths were recorded in the past 24 hours in Delhi, taking the total number of deaths to 19071 so far in Delhi. The total number of active cases of the virus has fallen to 87907.
