Govt.: Covid recoveries more than fresh cases

In a rare relief in the corona battle's second wave, India has reported more recoveries than cases in the past 24 hours, as per the Indian Health Ministry data on May 11, 2021.
329942 corona cases were recorded in the past 24 hours while the recoveries increased to 356082 in the same period.
Active cases too reduced to 3715221 from 3745237 on May 10, 2021. However, the death toll does not change much. As per the data, a total 3876 people succumbed to the disease in the past 24 hours, taking the total number of fatalities in India so far to 249992.
The total number of cases of the virus so far is 22992517, out of which 19027304 have recovered.
