In a major relief, Indian Finance Ministry has exempted the GST rate on Amphotericin B and Tocilizumab. These drugs are used in management of mucormycosis. Earlier 5% GST used to be imposed on these two drugs.

The ministry has reduced the GST rate from 12% to 5% on Anti-Coagulants like Heparin, Remdesivir. The rate has also been reduced from 12% to 5% on Medical Grade Oxygen, Oxygen Concentrator/ Generator, Ventilators, Ventilator masks / canula / helmet, BiPAP Machine and High flow nasal canula (HFNC) device, Covid Testing Kits and Specified Inflammatory Diagnostic Kits including D-Dimer, IL-6, Ferritin and LDH

The GST Rate has also been reduced from 12% to 5% on Pulse Oximeters.

The rate has been reduced from 18% to 5% on hand sanitizer, temperature check equipment, and Gas/Electric/other furnaces for crematorium, including their installation.

The GST has been reduced from 28% to 12% on ambulances.
