India recorded 2542 Covid deaths, 62224 fresh coronavirus cases and 107628 recoveries in the past 24 hours. As per Indian Health Ministry data on June 16, 2021, the active cases have come down to 865432.

The total number of cases of the virus has reached 29633105, out of which 28388100 have recovered. The total number of deaths has increased to 379573.
