India reported 27,254 new COVID-19 cases which are 4.6% lower than yesterday that witnessed 28,591 in the last 24 hours, the latest daily count has taken the overall caseload to 3, 32, 64,175 in the country, the Indian Health Ministry informed on September 13, 2021.

The country’s death toll rose to 4, 42,874 after it recorded 219 fatalities in the last 24 hours, according to the ministry.

The country also witnessed 37,687 recoveries in the past 24 hours, pushing the cumulative recoveries to 3, 24, 47,032 in the nation, while the recovery rate currently stands at 97.54%.

As per the official figures, India’s active caseload currently stands at 3, 74,269, while the cases account for 1.13% of total cases.

According to the government data, the daily positivity rate is reported to be below 3% for the last 14 days, and is currently at 2.26%, while the weekly positivity rate is below 3% for the last 80 days and is currently at 2.11%.

Meanwhile, the Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR) said that 54, 30, 14,076 samples have been tested till September 12, 2021, of which 12, 08,247 samples were tested yesterday.

Under the Nationwide Vaccination Drive, 74, 38, 37,643 vaccine doses have been administered so far, while 53, 38,945 vaccine doses were administered in the last 24 hours.
