India reported 25,404 new COVID-19 infections in the last 24 hours, taking the overall caseload to 3, 32, 89,579 in the country, the Indian Health Minister informed on September 14, 2021.
The country’s death toll rose to 4, 43,213 after it recorded 339 fatalities related to COVID-19 in the past 24 hours, according to the ministry.
India witnessed 37,127 recoveries in the last 24 hours, pushing the cumulative recoveries to 3, 24, 84,159 in the country, while the recovery rate currently stands at 97.58%.
According to the government data, the active caseload stands at 3, 62,207, while the cases account for 1.09% of the total cases.
As per the official figures, the daily positivity rate is reported to be less than 3% for the last 15 days, currently stands at 1.78%, while the weekly positivity rate is less than 3% for the last 81 days and currently stands at 2.07%.
Meanwhile, the Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR) said that 54, 44, 44,967 samples have been tested till September 13, 2021, of which 14, 30,891 samples were tested yesterday.
Under the Nationwide Vaccination Drive, 75, 22, 38,324 vaccine doses have been administered so far, while 78, 66,950 vaccine doses were administered in the last 24 hours.
