Indian Health Minister Mansukh Mandaviya has stressed on vaccinating all in villages against COVID 19.

Inspecting a vaccination center in Lucknow, Uttar Pradesh as part of campaign Har Ghar Dastak, Mandaviya said that a woman did not take the vaccine in Natkur village of Lucknow but as she was made aware about the vaccine she came forward to take the shot of the vaccine.

“We have to vaccinate everyone in the village and in general, which is only possible if we make people aware,” said Mandaviya.

It may be noted that there have been ups and downs in the vaccination drive in India. People were reluctant in the initial part of the vaccination but due to massive awareness, they started taking the vaccine shots.

A large chunk of the population has got the first dose of the vaccines but full vaccination is still very challenging.

Therefore, the Indian Health Ministry has directed states and UTs to speed up the second vaccination drive so that most of the Indians are fully vaccinated.
