India recorded 8,488 COVID cases, 12,510 recoveries and 249 deaths in the past 24 hours, the Indian Health Ministry informed on November 22, 2021.

As per the ministry data, the active cases stand at 1,18,443.

Kerala continues to contribute the highest burden of COVID cases and deaths in the country.

As per the data, the southern state recorded 5080 cases and 40 deaths in the past 24 hours.
