With 3 more deaths, the Japanese Encephalitis toll in Assam rises to 27

The incidences of deadly Japanese Encephalitis cases in Assam continue to grow with three more people succumbing to the disease in the state in the past 24 hours taking the toll to 27, local media reported quoting health officials.
While two people who lost their lives were from Nagaon District, one person was from Dibrugarh district, the information released by the state health officials reveal.
The disease has so far been confirmed in 170 people across the state since July 1 2022.
