It is understood that aspirants from Telangana were making applications for applying for the exam in other states, which prompted this move.

The Post Graduate Examination centres of Neet (National Eligibility Cum Entrance Test) will go up in Telangana state from the present three to seven.

The PG Neet will be conducted on January 7, 2017. The authorities have recently opened the online link to apply for the examination centres. However, most of the students from the state have missed the opportunity to apply for the exam as the online window to submit applications was shut down within 24 hours of its commencement for the acceptance of the online applications. The closure of the online window has prompted many PG seat aspirants to apply for the exam in other states.

This has prompted the authorities from the state government to make a formal request to increase the number of examination centres for the convenience of PG medical seat aspirants. The special chief Secretary of health, medical and family welfare department Rajeswar Tiwari spoke to the authorities of the Neet PG exam and urged them to increase the examination centres in the state. The authorities immediately responded positively and increased the exam centres accordingly.

The officials of the state government have told DTMT that the Neet authorities would issue a fresh notification to receive applications for the new exam centres. “The notification will be released very soon. The aspirants who could not apply in response to the earlier notification will get an opportunity to apply and write the exams at the New Centers. Those who have already applied will not be allowed to apply again,” an official of the health department told DTMT.
