New Delhi: The Paras Hospital chain will double its bed capacity to 1400 in three to four years.

Paras Healthcare is set to come up with new hospitals in Jharkhand and Uttar Pradesh as part of its plans to expand presence and double the bed capacity in the next three to four years, a top company official has said.

“We will be opening new multi- specialty hospitals in towns and cities which are currently off the map of quality tertiary care," Paras Healthcare managing director Dr Dharminder Nagar said.

“The company's goal from the very beginning has always been to serve the middle class and to manage the quality and be cost effective," he added.

In fact, the Group plans to double its bed capacity to about 1400 in the next three to four years from the existing 730 beds to meet the un-served states like Uttar Pradesh and Jharkhand among others, he said.

The healthcare provider has 730 operating beds across five hospitals one each in Gurgaon, Patna, Darbhanga, Panchkula and in East of Kailash in New Delhi.

The hospitals in Panchkula and East of Kailash in New Delhi are called Paras Bliss Hospital.
