Mumbai’s Shree Sai Clinic launches health card for senior citizens

To provide affordable diagnostics and treatment to senior citizens, Mumbai’s Shree Sai Clinic, a multispeciality hospital, launched a privilege health card on April 16, 2018. The elders can avail facilities with this health card for lifetime. The health card was launched on the occasion of the 12th anniversary of the hospital.

According to a Shree Sai Clinic press release, more than 200 senior citizens were  screened free of cost on April 16, 2018, for 12 parameters including HB, CBC, ESR, bl group, Blood Sugar fasting, Se, Cholesterol, Sgot, SGPT, Se creatinine, Urine routine and ECG consultation. It also included 10 minute talk on dental care and joint pain by specialists.

Dr. Sunil Chavan, MD and Orthopedic Surgeon, Shree Sai Clinic, says that aging can bring about various health issues, it’s important to understand the challenges faced by people as they are growing older.

Dr Chavan adds that senior citizens usually suffer from various orthopedic ailments such as arthritis, joint pains, weak bones and other diseases including heart disease, stroke, cancer, diabetes, BP and obesity.

“Hence, we thought of introducing a health card. The enrolled members will get benefits on it,” added Dr Chavan.
