BHU violence: AIIMS docs to protest at Nadda's residence

Disturbed over the brutal assaults on junior resident doctors and medical students in the campus of Banaras Hindu University (BHU), members of Delhi-AIIMS RDA have decided to protest outside India’s Health Minister JP Nadda's residence on September 28, 2018.

The AIIMS doctors said that medicos are getting attacked on daily basis in different parts of India but the health ministry does not issue even a single warning and does not condemn any attack. It does not show any concern or formulate any guidelines to make working environment in public hospitals more secure.

Dr Harjit Singh Bhatti, President, RDA, Delhi-AIIMS, told DTMT, “If no action is taken against the culprits then we will launch an alarm clock protest outside health minister JP Nadda’s residence on September 28, 2018, where we will ring 100 alarm clocks to wake him up from his apparent deep sleep and attract his focus towards doctors' safety."
