Resident doctors of Bhopal-AIIMS have demanded from the Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister that compensation be paid to the family of Dr Chinmay R Kamat who died in a road accident on the Indore-Bhopal highway on December 22, 2018.

The doctors have also demanded action against the driver and his accomplices whose chartered bus hit Dr Kamat's car.

Dr Kamat, with his family members, was returning from Onkareshwar to Bhopal. The relatives of Dr Kamat also sustained serious injuries in the accident. They are getting treatment at Bhopal-AIIMS.

The doctors held a candle march in Bhopal to express their protest against the rash driving that took the life of their colleague. The doctors have said that instead of helping the accident victims, the driver of the bus drove away.

The doctors said that accidents have become common on the Indore-Bhopal highway. The state Chief Minister needs to take note of this incident so that no one loses their beloved ones in such an accident in future.

Dr Kamat was a student of PG-Medicine. The doctors are demanding adequate compensation and a government job for the spouse of the deceased.
