Gwalior: Doctor suspended for death of pregnant woman

GWALIOR: The director of the Gajra Raja Chikitsha Mahavidhyalaya, Gwalior, MP has issued orders for suspending the services of a lady doctor working in the gynaecology department of the Kamlaraja Hospital, in the case of the death of a pregnant woman which had been alleged by the relatives as medical negligence.
The suspension decision was taken since the relatives agitated with the dead body of Angoori Sen wife of Rakesh Sen and complained to local MLA Praveen Pathak. The MLA had demanded action against the doctor.
On January 12, 2019 the woman had died during delivery at the hospital and the relatives had alleged medical negligence.
In an office order the Director of the Medical College Dr Ashok Mishra said on the written recommendation of HoD-Gynaecology department Dr Gyatri Maurya has been suspended as a resident doctor and post graduate student in the gynaecology department till further orders.
