Pulwama attack: Docs' candle march for CRPF martyrs

The medical fraternity has come out in support of families of CRPF personnel who sacrificed their lives in the terrorist attack in Pulwama on February 14, 2019.

Doctors of Delhi-AIIMS, Lady Hardinge Medical College (LHMC) and Sanjay Gandhi Memorial Hospital in Delhi took out a candle march in the remembrance of CRPF personnel who were martyred in the attack.

The doctors, in one voice, slammed Pakistan for the cowardly attacked. They added that there is a strong need for retaliation.

Dr Amrinder Singh Malhi, President, RDA, Delhi-AIIMS, said, “The RDA-AIIMS strongly condemns and is deeply saddened by the heinous and cowardly attack on the CRPF convoy in Pulwama district. We express our deepest condolences to the bereaved families of the deceased and the injured. We stand by them in this moment of grief.”

Dr Vijay Gurjar, Assistant Professor, Department of Geriatrics, Delhi-AIIMS, said: “I pledge to give preference our soldiers and their family members whenever I get the chance to serve them who are serving and sometimes even sacrificing their lives for us.”

“RDA LHMC condemns the dastardly terrorist attack on CRPF personnel. Our heartfelt condolences to the bereaved families,” said Dr Shivaji Dev Barman, President, RDA-LHMC.

The doctors of Sanjay Gandhi Memorial Hospital said that they stand in solidarity with martyrs and extend condolences to the grieving families.
