President opens Apollo's 330-bed super specialty hospital in Lucknow

President Ram Nath Kovind has inaugurated Apollo’s new 330-bed Apollomedics Super Speciality Hospital in Lucknow.

Spread over 3,50,000 square feet area, the super-specialty hospital provides quaternary care across 10 centres of excellence with more than 30 specialties spearheaded by internationally trained doctors. As many as 110 out of the 330 beds are dedicated to critical care, as per an Apollo Press Release.

The hospital has round the clock diagnostic, curative, preventive and rehabilitative care across specialities, through its Centres of Excellence in Cardiac Sciences, Oncology (Cancer Care), Neuro Sciences, Gastro Sciences, Renal Sciences, Orthopedics, Obstetrics & Gynecology, Critical Care and 24X7 Trauma Care.

Speaking on the occasion, Mr Kovind said that the new super-specialty hospital will prove to be a great asset as it will offer prompt and high-quality treatment to a large number of people in Lucknow and Uttar Pradesh.

The government has given priority to modern healthcare, especially for the poor and middle class, he added.

The President stated, “Along with state governments, the Centre is trying to build infrastructure for modern healthcare all over the country. Because of policy interventions, the government is moving towards a situation where good healthcare is provided to the poor and middle class without their having to pay unnecessary costs.”

Dr. Prathap C Reddy, Chairman, Apollo Hospitals Group, said, “Over the decades many patients of Uttar Pradesh who have been treated at Apollo Hospitals in other cities expressed their wish that we bring our service to the state.
