Etala Rajender is Telangana's new health minister

The Telangana state, which had assembly elections recently, has finally got a new medical, health and family welfare minister 64 days after formation of the second consecutive government by chief minister Mr. K. Chandrasekhar Rao.

Etala Rajender, who worked as finance minister in the first term of CM KCR, has now been appointed as the health minister of the state.

Born in undivided Karimnagar district of the state, Etala Rajender has been known for his continuous public service. The minister did not waste much time to assume his charge and held a six hour long review meeting with the higher ups of the health department a day after being sworn in.

Speaking said that he would take forward the development works taken up by his predecessor Dr. C. Laxma Reddy and work tirelessly to achieve the dream of the chief minister of the state KCR of a healthy Telangana State. He asked the officials to work hard and bring name to the department. He said that revolutionary health schemes like KCR kits has brought cheer on the faces of the women of the state. Noting that the poor people should not suffer due to the inefficiency of the officials of the state, he said that they would set up a dedicated cell to serve the poor and the needy people who are in need of healthcare services.
