KOZHIKODE (KERALA) : IIM Kozhikode (IIM-K), in collaboration with the IIHMR University, Jaipur, is hosting a two-day international conference on ‘Global Health and Medical Tourism’ from March 12, 2019.

The conference is an attempt to focus on the imperatives of artificial intelligence, accreditation, capacity and leadership development, management and policy perspectives, medical tourism, global healthcare economics, innovations in global health care, waste management issues, Pharmaco vigilance and legal issues, skill development and soft skills and other state-of-the-art related issues.

The two-day event will delve upon various aspects of medical tourism by giving a clear landscape of technologies, policies, global healthcare perspectives, healthcare models and best practices in medical tourism with the help of panel discussions and paper presentations.

The inaugural session will also include the launch of the IIHMR University’s much cherished Center for Mindfulness, Ethics and Wellness by Dr. Debashis Chatterjee and Rohit Kumar Singh. The Center for Mindfulness will be responsible for conducting workshops and sessions for stress relief and creating a healthy work environment.

Panel discussion will be conducted on several topics including “Medical Tourism Issues in India  and Global Health Scenario”.

On March 13, 2019, the IIHMR University will be seen partnering with Heartfulness Institute, India Division, for its Heartfullness programme.

The event will engage eminent Heartfullness trainers and speakers addressing the audience on various topics including creating a culture of wellness and stress management.

The event will ensure that participating doctors, nurses and psychologists receive CME credits from Heartfullness Institute in association with Annenberg Center for Health Sciences at Eisenhower.
