NEW DELHI : The Lady Hardinge Medical College (LHMC), New Delhi, on March 16, 2019, awarded degrees and certificates to 292 students at its 103rd convocation.

The credentials awarded at the convocation included seven DM, 37 meritorious certificates, 115 Master Degree, 133 Bachelor Degree. Two nursing personnel and one primary school student were also awarded in the convocation ceremony.

Ms. Megha Priyadarshi received the Smt. Atul H Keswani merit medal, Ms. Shikha Agarwal was awarded the gold medal and Dropti Rohtagi memorial prize, Ms. Shivangi Mangal was awarded gold medal, Dr. Yogesha KN, a DM student, was awarded Ms Monal Nangia Memorial medal for best DM student in Neonatology, Ms. Jolly Sebastian and Ms. MC Sen were awarded best nursing personnel and Master Vinay was awarded Mrs. S Chadha award.

Dr. V K Paul, Member of NITI Aayog (Health), as a chief guest, urged the young doctors to deliver quality care with high standards irrespective of whom they were treating, give confidence to their patients and not introduce any diagnostic pain.

In his report, Dr Rajiv Garg, Director, Lady Hardinge Medical College, said, “LHMC added various patient care facilities like Thalassemia transition care, Center for adolescent health, MD course in Physical and Rehabilitation Medicine, The National Nutritional Rehabilitation and Training Center, Genetic Diagnostic Center, Virus Research & Development laboratory to name a few.”

"The implementation of Comprehensive Redevelopment Plan of LHMC has begun in full earnest. We hope to see it up and functioning very soon," Dr Garg added.

Lady Hardinge Medical College is now ranked among the top 10 medical colleges in India. The institute has produced some world renowned professionals, occupying top-notch positions and serving mankind across the globe.
