Dr Anil Saini, a surgeon working at the Bundi Government Hospital in Rajasthan, was shocked when the CT Scan of a patient revealed that there were over 100 iron nails, each measuring two inches, in the patient's stomach.

The doctors performed a surgery on the 42 year old man to remove the foreign objects from his stomach. The operation lasted an hour and a half and the doctor took out as many as 116 iron nails, a long iron wire and also an iron pellet from the man's stomach.

The patient, a gardener by profession, had come to the hospital complaining of stomach ache and did not know how the nails and other objects reached his stomach.

Dr Saini said that the patient was normal after the operation, but the nails could have taken his life if they had reached his intestines.
