NEW DELHI : The Resident Doctors Association at All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS)  Delhi, on Saturday morning announced to end their strike and gave a 48-hour ultimatum to West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee to meet the demands of the protesting colleagues.

“If the demands of the West Bengal doctors are not met within 48 hours, there would be no option than to resort to an indefinite strike at the AIIMS Delhi,” Dr Amarinder Singh, RDA president, said in the ultimatum to West Bengal CM.

The doctors of the premium institute of India would, however, continue to wear red-stained bandages and helmets as a sign of protest in support of their colleagues in Kolkata.
