Massive doctors strike continues on Monday

Around 20,000 resident doctors from government hospitals in Delhi are on strike on Monday too demanding a central law to protect medical profession and institutions.

The call for the strike was given by the Indian Medical Association.

Doctors from AIIMS-Delhi took out a protest march in the institute from 8 am to 9 am. The governing body of the AIIMS RDA also decided to to go on strike today.    

Patients in the national capital are facing hardship for the fourth consecutive day as doctors in LNJP, GB Pant, Lady Hardinge, RML, GTB and other Delhi and Central government hospitals boycotted work and held protests.  

Essential services like emergency and ICU, however, are running smoothly.  57 year old Mohammed Ali, who visited LNJP hospital for follow up check up, claimed he couldn't find a doctor in the OPD.
