Mamata-doctors' meeting: CM calls doctors

KOLKATA : Backtracking on her promise to allow live media coverage of the meeting with agitating doctors, the West Bengal Chief Minister, Mamata Banerjee, on Monday allowed only local channel ABP Ananda to cover the meeting.
The chief minister said,"I have suggested not more than two relatives of the patient inside emergency and I urge you to frame a package to set up reinforced gates at emergency departments of all hospitals in the state.”
Ms Mamta stated, “I suggest, there should be dedicated PR persons at district-level hospitals to interact with patients and their relatives instead of surgeons doing it."
While the meeting is underway, the chief minister told doctors, "No false cases have been registered against protesting doctors in the state. These young doctors are our future. There is no intention to target them."
