NEW DELHI: Two-year-old Anjali Yadav, who has not been given a date for urgent heart surgery, has sought help from the All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS)-Delhi and other hospitals for early surgery.
Anjali has a hole in her heart and requires urgent surgery, a senior doctor of the institute has said.
According to her mother, Rubi Yadav, from Madhya Pradesh, the baby had breathing problems following which she was admitted in a local hospital in MP where she was diagnosed but the hospital advised the family to take her to AIIMS-Delhi for treatment.
The family visited AIIMS, Delhi on April 3, 2019, where Anjali underwent several tests which confirmed that she had a hole in her heart. The doctors advised the family that she needed to undergo a surgery.
"They are not giving us a date for surgery citing the long waiting period. Since April, I am regularly visiting the institution but have found no help,” Ruby said.
“We cannot wait for more time as Anjali is in serious pain," added Ruby.
