NEW DELHI: The Ministry of Health has suspended Dr Naresh Sharma, Deputy Drug Controller of the Central Drugs Standard Control Organisation, after the CBI arrested him for corruption.

The CBI had arrested Dr Sharma after “trapping” him, said a press statement from the Union Health Ministry.

"All stakeholders, public and officers shall take cognizance of the fact that Central Drugs Standard Control Organisation has the policy of zero tolerance towards corruption and is committed to act stringently against any act of corruption," the statement said.
