Telangana AIIMS to start classes on August 27

Classes at the All  India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) in Telangana will commence from August 27, 2019. The first batch of the undergraduate MBBS course for the academic year 2019-20 will have 50 seats.

The incharge of Bhopal based AIIMS will act as the incharge of the Telangana AIIMS till the appointment of a new director. The process of the appointment of faculty members at the college has already been completed by the officials of the central government. The NIMS hospital at Bibinagar area will be converted into an affiliated hospital of the AIIMS . Separate hostels for both boys and girls have been constructed. A high level team of engineers from Bhopal visited the institute and expressed their satisfaction over the infrastructure built at the institute including laboratories. The team is expected to meet the officials of the state government to discuss about the commencement of classes and the arrangements to be made by the state government for the same.
