NEW DELHI: A 3-day Asia Pacific Vascular Intervention Meet, under the aegis of Indraprastha Apollo Hospitals, is being organized in New Delhi from June 28, 2019, in association with International Society of Endovascular Specialists, USA.
The program is a comprehensive and interactive course, serving as a stage for exchange of knowledge of newest interventional techniques among the pioneers in the field of Endovascular Interventions.
Hundreds of delegates and faculty drawn from across the world will attend the conference. The programme will commence with a welcome address and introductory speech by Course Chairman, Dr (Prof) NN Khanna, Advisor-Apollo Group of Hospitals, Dr Michel Henry from Luxembourg, and Course Director, Dr Saroj Das from Imperial College of London and Dr Alain Cribier from France.
Dr (Prof) NN Khanna told DTMT, “This sort of endovascular training course will help our young doctors and also established endovascular interventional cardiologists to train themselves and to reach maturity.”
Dr Khanna said, “Apart from the Fellows Course and Technicians Course, we will conduct live surgery and robotic surgery by eminent national and international Endovascular Specialists.”
Dr Khanna stated, “This year, the focus will be on the rise of cardio-vascular diseases in the country. It’s estimated that a quarter of all deaths in India are attributed to cardio-vascular disease.
