Irbesartan with S(-)Amlodipine is a combination medication that contains two active ingredients: irbesartan and S(-)amlodipine. Irbesartan is an angiotensin II receptor blocker (ARB), while S(-)amlodipine is a calcium channel blocker. This combination is used to treat hypertension (high blood pressure) by addressing different mechanisms that contribute to elevated blood pressure.This medication is indicated for the management of hypertension (high blood pressure) in adults when control of blood pressure is not achieved with monotherapy.

Irbesartan with S(-)Amlodipine is contraindicated in patients with known hypersensitivity to any of its components, in pregnant women, and in patients with severe hepatic impairment.

-Concomitant use with potassium-sparing diuretics, potassium supplements, or salt substitutes containing potassium may increase the risk of hyperkalemia. -CYP3A4 inhibitors or inducers may affect the metabolism of amlodipine.
