Zonisamide
Treatment of partial seizures in adults with epilepsy.
Safety and efficacy in pediatric patients below the age of 16 have not been established. Once or twice daily, using 25mg, 50mg, or 100mg capsules. Capsules should be swallowed whole.
Tell your doctor immediately if any of these unlikely but serious side effects occur : weight loss, tingling/numbness of hands/feet/mouth, leg cramps, joint pain/stiffness, muscle ache/cramps, decreased sexual interest/ability, side/abdominal pain, blood in the urine, inability to urinate. Anxiety, agitation, hostility, pressured/rapid speech, or thoughts of suicide.
Somnolence, anorexia, dizziness, headache, nausea and agitation/irritability.
