DEMELANIZING AGENTS

They lighten hyper pigmented patches on skin. Regular application is required in melasma, cholasma of pregnancy etc. They decrease formation and increase degradation of melanosomes & response is often incomplete. Care is to be taken to avoid its entry into the eyes.
