Indications

Cancer chemotherapy to reduce the severity of neutropenia, bone marrow transplantation to accelerate myeloid recovery.


Dosage

IV or SC; 5 to 10mcg/kg per day over 7-10 days.


Contra-Indications

Hypersensitivity, myeloid malignancy.


Special Precautions

Paediatric: Safety not established. Pregnancy: Can cause fetal abnormality or abortion. Lactation: Secreted in milk Elderly: Can be used.


Side Effects

Fever, nausea dyspnoea, diarrhoea, rash rigors, injection site reaction (with s.c. administration), vomiting, fatigue, anorexia, muscloskeletal pain and asthenia.
