Rabeprazole with Cinitapride

Rabeprazole is a proton pump inhibitor (PPI) that reduces stomach acid production, effectively treating conditions related to excess gastric acidity. Cinitapride is a prokinetic agent that enhances gastrointestinal motility and accelerates gastric emptying.

Indications

-Gastroesophageal Reflux Disease (GERD) -Peptic Ulcers -Dyspepsia -Gastroparesis -Non-ulcer Dyspepsia -Functional Dyspepsia

Dosage

-The standard dosage is typically 20mg of Rabeprazole and 1mg of Cinitapride, administered orally before meals. -Dosage adjustments may be required based on the severity of the condition and individual patient response.

Contra-Indications

-Hypersensitivity to Rabeprazole or Cinitapride. -Severe hepatic impairment. -Pregnancy and lactation without medical supervision.

Special Precautions

-Caution in patients with renal impairment. -Monitor for signs of hypersensitivity reactions. -Use with caution in elderly patients.

Side Effects

Common side effects may include nausea, headache, abdominal pain, and diarrhea. Serious side effects are rare but may include allergic reactions, severe stomach pain, or liver problems.

Drug Interactions
