Sunscreen

They are substances that protect the skin from harmful effects of exposure to sunlight. They absorb & scatter UV rays (290-320 nm) that are responsible for sunburn and phototoxicity, but allow longer wave length to penetrate, so that tanning occurs.

Indications

Adjuncts in vitiligo therapy, drug induced phototoxicity,to facilitate tanning while preventing sunburn.Prevent skin cancer & premature ageing of skin.
