Action against area in-charge if any tout found: AIIMS Director
The Delhi-AIIMS director Prof M Srinivas has released a circular, warning that disciplinary action will be initiated against doctor, faculty, nurse, resident and other if any tout is found in their area.
The circular has been issued on observation by the director about agents or touts roaming freely in institute’s premises and different departments and seeking monetary gains from innocent patients who come for treatment to Delhi-AIIMS.
“If any unauthorised person/agent is found in any part of the campus, the respective area in-charges (senior resident doctor, faculty, nursing officer and other staff) shall be held responsible and deemed to be helping these agents/touts and disciplinary action as deemed fit shall be taken,” the circular read.
It is observed that some unidentified/unauthorised belonging to certain private companies/hospitals/laboratories/radiology centers and establishemnts are roaming inside campus to seek monetary gain from patients visiting AIIMS.
It is also learned that they are faciliciting OPD cards and admissions at AIIMS.
All the doctors, nurses and staff members are hereby instructed that even on slightest suspicion of the presence of any unauthorised/ unidentified person in the campus or around the departments/areas of the campus, be immediately reported the special whatsapp number 9355023969 also . The information may also be shared confidentially to the official email ID director@aiims.edu.
