Delhi-AIIMS will develop crèche services for children with special needs soon. The move has been taken after some employees of the country's prestigious medical institute raised concerns of lacking the crèche facility for the children with special needs in the campus.

An office memorandum issued by the institute director Prof M Srinivas read that in view of the various concerns raised by employees and staff regarding lack of crèche/day care facility for children with special needs, it has been decided that two C-1 house may be earmarked for developing such service at the AIISM, New Delhi at the earliest.

As per the memorandum, Prof Shefali Gulati, Child Neurology, Division Department of Pediatrics, Delhi-AIIMS has been assigned the task of developing a crèche service for children with special needs.
