Sanofi India and Cipla Forge Exclusive Partnership to Expand Access to Central Nervous System Medications
Sanofi India Limited ("SIL") and Sanofi Healthcare India Private Limited, collectively referred to as “Sanofi India,” alongside Cipla Limited ("Cipla”), have announced an exclusive partnership aimed at distributing and promoting Sanofi India’s Central Nervous System (CNS) product range in India. This collaboration marks a significant endeavor in the healthcare sector, particularly in enhancing accessibility to crucial medications for patients across the country.
As part of this strategic partnership, Cipla will undertake the responsibility of distributing Sanofi India’s six CNS brands, including the renowned Frisium®, a leading anti-epileptic medication. While Sanofi India will retain ownership and continue to import and manufacture its complete range of CNS products across its facilities in India and internationally, Cipla will leverage its extensive capabilities and robust network spanning India to expand the reach of these treatments. Through its strong marketing and sales infrastructure, along with its wide network of distributors, institutions, and market outreach programs, Cipla aims to ensure broader access to these essential medications for patients in need.
Mr. Rodolfo Hrosz, Managing Director of Sanofi India Limited, expressed confidence in the partnership, emphasizing the leadership position of Sanofi India’s CNS products in their respective categories.
