Apollo Hospitals has marked a major milestone in pediatric healthcare by hosting a comprehensive Clinical Update in Pediatric Gastroenterology and Hepatology, an endoscopy workshop, and a continuing medical education (CME) program for pediatricians from December 4 to 7, 2025. The four-day event brought together top specialists and trainees from India and 17 countries, creating a global platform to discuss the latest breakthroughs in pediatric gastroenterology and hepatology.

The event also commemorated 27 years since Apollo Hospitals Delhi performed India’s first successful pediatric liver transplant in 1998. The landmark surgery on 22-month-old Master Sanjay set a new benchmark in the country’s medical history. Sanjay, now 29, is a practicing doctor and married—an inspiring example of the life-changing impact of timely transplantation and skilled medical care.

Over the years, Apollo Hospitals has emerged as a national leader in pediatric gastrointestinal and liver care, driving innovation, enhancing training, and delivering world-class outcomes. The recent workshop further strengthened this legacy by offering hands-on learning in advanced pediatric therapeutic endoscopy, manometry, and emerging technologies used globally.
