CureBay Appoints Siddharth Agrawal as COO to Accelerate Rural Healthcare Expansion
CureBay, a hybrid healthcare platform focused on delivering affordable and high-quality medical services to underserved regions in India, has announced the appointment of Siddharth Agrawal as its Chief Operating Officer (COO). The strategic leadership addition comes as the company accelerates its expansion and works toward building a nationally scalable rural healthcare delivery model.
The appointment marks a significant step in strengthening CureBay’s leadership team at a time when the company is scaling operations across multiple states. With a growing presence in Odisha, Chhattisgarh, and Jharkhand, CureBay currently operates more than 175 eClinics, supported by over 230 doctors and 400 skilled healthcare workers. The platform has also partnered with more than 210 hospitals and laboratories to extend its care network.
At the heart of CureBay’s operations is its digital-first healthcare model, powered by CureBay Quantum, an AI-driven platform designed to improve care delivery and operational efficiency through data-led insights. The company reports that it has reached over 2.51 lakh villages and towns, served more than 10.32 lakh customers, and facilitated upwards of 1.10 lakh subscriptions, underscoring growing demand for technology-enabled healthcare solutions in rural India.
Agrawal brings over two decades of leadership experience across global FMCG and high-growth consumer technology companies. He has previously held senior leadership roles at OLX India (part of CarTrade Tech), OLA, Unilever, and Perfetti Van Melle. Over the course of his career, he has led large-scale operational and growth initiatives, with expertise in building scalable systems, driving market expansion, and implementing digital-first go-to-market strategies across domestic and international markets.
In his new role, Agrawal will oversee CureBay’s end-to-end operations, including network scalability, supply chain optimisation, operational efficiency, and regional execution. The company’s immediate focus includes expanding its eClinic network, strengthening its on-ground Swasthya Mitra workforce, and deepening technology integration to enhance access to affordable care in remote communities.
Commenting on the appointment, Priyadarshi Mohapatra, Founder and CEO of CureBay, said, “CureBay was born with a vision to bridge the healthcare gap in India’s underserved regions by providing affordable, high-quality, technology-enabled care. Siddharth’s appointment strengthens our leadership team and will help further shape our operations and expansion as we continue to extend care to more communities.”
He added that Agrawal’s experience in scaling consumer and technology-led businesses aligns closely with CureBay’s current growth phase. “His focus on operational discipline and structured growth will be critical as we expand our presence across Bharat and strengthen a scalable healthcare delivery model,” Mohapatra said.
Expressing enthusiasm about his new role, Agrawal said, “I am joining CureBay at an exciting stage, with initiatives like CureBay Quantum and Kavach already making a meaningful difference in underserved communities. I look forward to supporting the team in continuing this momentum and helping scale the impact of their work nationwide.”
As COO, Agrawal is expected to focus on strengthening CureBay’s operational framework to enable sustainable, large-scale expansion, while ensuring consistency, efficiency, and quality across its growing healthcare network. The company aims to deepen its reach across underserved regions in the coming years, reinforcing its mission to bridge the rural healthcare gap in India.
