Delhi Health Minister Conducts Surprise Inspection at Madan Mohan Malviya Hospital, Flags Issues in Lab Department
In a bid to ensure quality healthcare for every citizen, Delhi Health Minister Dr. Pankaj Singh made a surprise visit to Madan Mohan Malviya Hospital on Monday to assess the functioning of its departments and the availability of essential medicines for patients.
During his inspection, Dr. Singh interacted with doctors, staff, and patients to get firsthand feedback on the hospital’s day-to-day operations.
He examined whether all departments were functioning efficiently and if patients were receiving timely treatment and prescribed medicines.
While most areas of the hospital were found to be running smoothly, Dr. Singh flagged several gaps in the laboratory department, calling for immediate corrective action.
“The government is committed to providing the best healthcare services to the people of Delhi. Any lapses in service delivery will be addressed promptly,” Dr. Singh said during the visit.
The minister also instructed hospital authorities to submit a detailed report on the lab’s functioning and to implement necessary reforms to enhance diagnostic services.
Officials from the Health Department said that such surprise inspections will continue across Delhi hospitals to ensure that public healthcare facilities maintain high standards of patient care and accountability.
