Faridabad Comes Together for Fitness Fun at Sarvodaya Hospital’s ‘Physiotherapy Mela’

World Physiotherapy Day turned into a festival of health and happiness at Sarvodaya Hospital, Sector-8, Faridabad, where the hospital hosted a unique “Physiotherapy Mela.”

The event was buzzing with energy as people of all ages took part in fitness games, exercise sessions, and fun activities that carried a powerful message—physiotherapy is not just for recovery, it’s for everyone who wants to live an active and healthy life.

From stretching corners to balance challenges, participants discovered how simple physiotherapy techniques can improve strength, flexibility, and stamina.

For many, it was a fresh reminder that exercise doesn’t have to be boring—it can be fun, engaging, and even community-building.

“Physiotherapy is not only required after an injury or illness but is equally important in maintaining health and fitness in our daily lives,” said Dr. Dheerja Babbar, Group Head of Physiotherapy at Sarvodaya Hospital. “Through events like this, we want people to realize that small lifestyle changes and regular physical activity can actually prevent a lot of serious health problems.”

The hospital leadership too sees this as part of a larger mission. Dr. Rakesh Gupta, Chairman, Sarvodaya Healthcare, shared, “Our goal has always been to improve community health and create awareness. This mela was not just about exercise—it was about inspiring people to take charge of their wellbeing in an enjoyable way.”

Sarvodaya Hospital has been regularly rolling out such community-friendly programs, making healthcare less about treatment and more about prevention.

The Physiotherapy Mela added another chapter to this effort, showing that health awareness can be fun, social, and life-changing all at once.
