Patients suffering from vertigo, dizziness and balance disorders in Delhi and North India now have access to specialised treatment closer to home. Pacific One Health has launched the Institute of Neurotology & Centre of Excellence for Vertigo and Balance Disorders at Lajpat Nagar in South Delhi under the leadership of Dr. Anirban Biswas, widely known as the "Father of Vertigo" in India.

The new centre aims to bridge a major gap in specialised neurotology services in North India. Until now, many patients had to travel to cities such as Bengaluru, Chennai and Mumbai for advanced diagnosis and treatment of complex balance disorders.

The institute is expected to become a referral centre for patients from Delhi, NCR, Haryana, Punjab, Uttar Pradesh, Rajasthan, Uttarakhand, Himachal Pradesh and Jammu & Kashmir. It offers comprehensive care for people experiencing vertigo, dizziness and other vestibular disorders.

According to experts, dizziness affects nearly 15–20 per cent of adults every year, while almost one in three people is likely to develop a vestibular disorder during their lifetime. The risk increases with age, making balance disorders a major cause of falls, fractures and loss of independence among older adults.

With more than four decades of clinical experience, Dr. Anirban Biswas has been instrumental in advancing neurotology and vestibular medicine in India. He has introduced modern diagnostic techniques, vestibular rehabilitation protocols and specialised training programmes for healthcare professionals.

The newly launched centre brings together a multidisciplinary team of neurotologists, neurologists, ENT specialists, physiotherapists, rehabilitation experts and psychologists to provide evidence-based care under one roof. Equipped with advanced vestibular diagnostic technology, the facility offers detailed balance assessments, medical treatment, vestibular rehabilitation, physiotherapy, occupational therapy and personalised rehabilitation plans based on each patient's condition.

The launch is expected to strengthen Delhi's position as a growing destination for specialised neurological and balance disorder care while improving access to expert treatment for patients across North India.
