A senior doctor teaching at the Department of Anaesthesia in Guru Tegh Bahadur (GTB) Hospital, Delhi, has been arrested for allegedly sexually harassing a junior female student.

Police from the GTB Enclave station confirmed the arrest. “Yes, the complaint is true. A case of sexual harassment was reported, and the professor has been arrested,” said a local police officer.

The incident has created shock and concern among students and staff at the hospital. Many have said that such cases highlight the need for stricter action and safer spaces for students in medical institutions.
