Happiest Diagnostics, a unit of Happiest Health, has received accreditation from the National Accreditation Board for Testing and Calibration Laboratories (NABL), marking a key milestone in the organisation’s growth and quality journey. The accreditation, achieved within just two years of inception, reflects early maturity in governance and robust quality systems.

From the outset, Happiest Diagnostics designed and commissioned its laboratories in alignment with NABL guidelines, enabling a structured and efficient accreditation process. The organisation has maintained a strong focus on accuracy, reproducibility and traceability across its diagnostic services, underscoring its commitment to uncompromised clinical quality.

Commenting on the achievement, Mr. Ashok Soota, Chairman and Chief Strategy Officer, Happiest Health, said the accreditation strengthens the foundation for future expansion. “Our vision is to build a future-ready diagnostics platform governed by strong quality systems, capable of handling complex biological data and scalable for advanced testing needs. This milestone enables us to systematically expand into molecular, genomic and preventive diagnostics, supporting how medicine will increasingly be practised over the next decade,” he said.

The NABL accreditation supports the company’s plans to expand its accredited test menu and deepen its presence in advanced diagnostics, including molecular and genomic testing. The diagnostic roadmap is aligned with preventive, predictive and personalised healthcare, with a focus on introducing rare and clinically significant tests that are currently under-available in routine diagnostic settings.

Alongside its current accredited operations, Happiest Diagnostics is developing a large reference laboratory that is expected to nearly triple its accredited test offerings. The proposed facility will serve as a central hub for quality, standardisation and complex diagnostics, supporting the organisation’s next phase of growth in molecular, genomic and data-intensive testing.

As part of its advanced diagnostics portfolio, the company has also introduced Gut Microbiome Testing, which uses high-throughput sequencing and bioinformatics to analyse more than 5 GB of microbial genomic data per sample. The test offers clinically relevant insights into digestive health, metabolic balance, immune modulation and overall wellness, reinforcing the organisation’s focus on preventive and personalised care.
