Health Ministry Showcases Flagship Health Programmes at Vibrant Gujarat Regional Exhibition 2026

The Union Ministry of Health and Family Welfare (MoHFW) has set up a comprehensive Health Pavilion at the Vibrant Gujarat Regional Exhibition 2026, currently underway at Marwadi University in Rajkot, to highlight key health initiatives of the Government of India. The five-day exhibition will continue till January 15.

Spread across nearly 700 square metres, the Health Pavilion was jointly inaugurated by senior officials of the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, along with representatives from the State Government and District Health Authorities. Designed around the theme “Swasthya Bharat, Shreshtha Bharat,” the pavilion underscores the Centre’s focus on strengthening public health systems and building a healthy, resilient and empowered nation.

The pavilion houses 26 stalls representing 12 programme divisions of the MoHFW, with active participation from state and district health authorities. Visitors are being offered a range of free healthcare services, information and awareness activities related to various national health programmes. To ensure easy navigation and better public engagement, details of services available under each programme division have been clearly displayed at the pavilion’s entry points.

According to officials, the Ministry’s participation in the exhibition aims to promote preventive healthcare, raise awareness about government health schemes and encourage greater community involvement. An interactive zone has also been set up within the pavilion to convey health messages through engaging and innovative formats.

Adding a human touch to the initiative, local TB Champions—individuals who have successfully recovered from tuberculosis—shared their personal journeys, highlighting how government support played a crucial role in their treatment and recovery. Peer representatives of People Living with HIV (PLHIV) also shared their experiences, underlining improvements in access to treatment, psychosocial support and overall quality of life due to sustained government interventions in HIV/AIDS care.

The Health Pavilion has drawn an encouraging response from visitors, including international delegates, and has emerged as one of the major attractions at the Vibrant Gujarat Regional Exhibition 2026. Officials said the strong footfall reflects growing public awareness and trust in the government’s efforts to deliver inclusive, accessible and quality healthcare.

Reaffirming its commitment, the Union Ministry of Health and Family Welfare said it will continue to advance the vision of “Swasthya Bharat, Shreshtha Bharat” through innovation, close collaboration with states and stakeholders, and the implementation of people-centric health initiatives across the country.
