Lupin Manufacturing Solutions (LMS), the global contract research, development, and manufacturing organization (CRDMO) and a subsidiary of Lupin Limited, has announced a strategic expansion of its manufacturing facility in Dabhasa, India. The move marks a significant step in strengthening its peptide building-block platform and enhancing its overall CRDMO capabilities.

The expansion includes the addition of a new manufacturing block designed to augment existing infrastructure, along with two specialized units dedicated to peptide production. These upgrades are expected to support advanced drug development processes and provide greater flexibility in manufacturing complex therapeutics, catering to rising global demand.

Dr. Abdelaziz Toumi, Chief Executive Officer of Lupin Manufacturing Solutions, emphasized the importance of scaling capabilities in line with evolving pharmaceutical innovation. “As the industry increasingly focuses on complex modalities, building deep technical expertise and execution excellence is critical. This expansion reflects our commitment to delivering scalable, advanced solutions that support complex development programs and strengthen our position within the global peptide ecosystem,” he said.

The development comes at a time when drug innovation is increasingly driven by molecular complexity, including peptides and biologic antibody-drug conjugates (ADCs). With the upgraded facility, LMS aims to ensure a consistent supply of high-quality peptide building blocks, including protected amino acids, enabling partnerships with global pharmaceutical innovators.
