Manipal Hospital Gurugram Celebrates Mothers with Wellness-Focused ‘Mom’s Day Out’ Ahead of Mother’s Day
Ahead of Mother’s Day, Manipal Hospital Gurugram organised a special initiative titled ‘Mom’s Day Out’, bringing together mothers, caregivers and women entrepreneurs for a day dedicated to wellness, recognition and empowerment.
The event saw enthusiastic participation from nearly 100 women from diverse backgrounds, creating a vibrant platform that celebrated not just motherhood, but also the importance of women prioritising their own health and well-being.
Designed as a meaningful community initiative, the programme featured interactive sessions focused on women’s health awareness, preventive care and emotional wellness. Experts at the event highlighted the need for regular health screenings, timely diagnosis and open conversations around health concerns that often remain overlooked among women.
The event also shone a spotlight on women-led entrepreneurship, encouraging networking and collaboration while recognising the many roles women balance in their personal and professional lives.
Speaking on the occasion, Dr Amita Shah, Chairman & HOD - Obstetrics & Gynaecology, Laparoscopy & Endoscopy Surgery at Manipal Hospital, Gurugram, stressed the importance of encouraging women to place their own health on priority.
“Motherhood is at the heart of every home, yet many women tend to overlook their own health needs. Through initiatives like these, we focused on bringing women’s health to the forefront while highlighting the importance of timely screenings, early diagnosis, and addressing concerns that often go unspoken. Creating safe spaces for such conversations is important to ensure better long-term health outcomes for women,” she said.
Hospital officials noted that the initiative aimed to create a supportive environment where women could openly discuss health concerns, gain access to expert guidance and feel encouraged to invest in their physical and emotional wellness.
Addressing the gathering, Navin Pascal, Hospital Director, Manipal Hospital, Gurugram, said the strong response to the event reflects a growing awareness around women’s healthcare and the importance of community-driven initiatives.
“The overwhelming participation we witnessed reflects a growing awareness around women’s health and the need to build supportive communities that celebrate and uplift mothers. At Manipal Hospital Gurugram, we remain committed to driving such initiatives that focus on holistic healthcare, preventive awareness, and empowering women to lead healthier, more fulfilling lives,” he said.
With ‘Mom’s Day Out’, Manipal Hospital Gurugram sought to turn the spotlight on mothers not just as caregivers, but as individuals whose health, aspirations and contributions deserve equal care and attention.
