Medanta Mediclinic Defence Colony marked World Cancer Day on Tuesday with a series of awareness-driven activities highlighting the importance of cancer prevention, early detection, and collective action in cancer care.

As part of the observance, the facility was illuminated in purple, the global colour associated with cancer awareness, serving as a visual reminder of the ongoing fight against the disease and the need for sustained public engagement.

The programme included a commemorative cake-cutting ceremony attended by Mr. Mahinder Singh Bitta, Chairman of the Anti-Terrorist Front of India. His presence reinforced the message of unity and resilience in addressing major health challenges impacting communities nationwide. In a symbolic gesture promoting hope and renewal, saplings were distributed to attendees.

The initiative underscored the link between environmental well-being and long-term health, while reflecting the belief that informed choices and timely intervention can lead to better outcomes in cancer care.
