Dr. Neeraj Yadav, President of Resident Doctors’ Association (RDA), Maulana Azad Medical College, Delhi, expressed serious concern over the Government of India and National Testing Agency’s decision to cancel and re-conduct the NEET (UG) 2026 examination.

He said that lakhs of students across the country spend years preparing for NEET with immense hard work, sacrifice, and emotional pressure. Any issue that raises doubts about the fairness or transparency of such an important national examination cannot be ignored and must be handled with complete honesty and accountability.

“At the same time, the cancellation of the exam has created huge stress and uncertainty among students and their families. Aspirants are going through mental pressure, confusion, and anxiety about their future,” he said.

RDA MAMC urged the authorities to ensure that the re-examination process is conducted in a completely fair, secure, and time-bound manner. Clear and timely communication with students at every stage is equally important to avoid panic and misinformation.

“The credibility of national medical entrance exams must remain beyond question because these exams decide the future healthcare workforce of our country,” Dr. Yadav added.

He also appealed to students to remain calm, stay focused, and not lose confidence during this difficult phase.
